The Logan Financial Literacy Action Group (FLAG) aims to increase financial capability and knowledge for Logan people, reduce the prevalence of problem gambling, and improve the credit choices being made by the community as a whole.  Click here to watch a short video about us.

The Logan FLAG was established in 2013 in response to issues being identified in the Logan community and as a result of collaborative work between Katherine Davie, Ellen Ferris, Debbie Miscamble (Better Futures Local Solutions -  Department of Human Services), Jan Elston (Gambling Help Services - Relationships Australia Qld) and Uani Edwards (Saver Plus Program - Benevolent Society). It was recognised that coming together as a Community Action Group and working collaboratively was stronger than  individual effort to address the issues.

Since 2013 some of the people involved have changed.  However, the group continues to be made up of people from community and government service agencies, University and community member volunteers who are dedicated to raising awareness about the issues and working towards greater financial well-being in the Logan community.
